The OCADA visited and received a personal tour of the historic site and all the members were very impressed. This site is definitely worth a visit! They are very children friendly, with an education center, interpretive center and many hands on exhibits. They have many events during the year and an “Annual Canal Fest” toward the end of June which may of us already plan to attend. Please visit their web site by clicking their name above, and take a look.
Fort Ontario
Fort Ontario provides almost 250 years of construction and evolution. The earthworks of the fort date back to 1759 , and the five main buildings were erected from 1842-44. They are definitely worth a visit, click into their web site for more information.
